Level-up Creative Skills
Activating Creativity is a 2-day program to help teams and individuals optimise personal creativity and boost creative collaboration.
The program uses activities and exercises inspired by art and design education, selected to encourage creative thinking and cognitive flexibility.
Creativity, complex problem solving, and cognitive flexibility are projected to be amongst the top 10 skills required to thrive in the workplace of the future. The demand for creative skills will extend beyond traditional creative roles.
Getting in touch with personal and collaborative creativity can be challenging, but the effort is worthwhile. In our work, play, and relationships our self-expression is inevitable.
By engaging with creative practice and methods, one’s self-expression can be shared with the world in a more effective and potentially meaningful way. Contemporary and historic technologies provide tools for us to engage our creativity in a range of ways, both independently and collaboratively.
Benefits and Outcomes
Inspire intrinsic motivation, the desire to engage in an activity for its own sake, an important component to successful creative performance
Eliminate or reduce bias and intimidation surrounding creativity
Build a culture of everyday creativity, and encourage open innovation, user innovation, and citizen innovation sources that are often underestimated
Engage creative thinking at all levels within an organisation by providing tools for junior employees to tap into their creativity effectively, and by breaking down stereotypes that senior employees are less creative and innovative
Who’s it for?
This course is designed for creative and non-creatives that want to better understand creativity, and develop ways of being more creative in their professional lives.
WHAT THEY SAY
Francesca is a wonderful instructor. She has a natural way of public speaking that is informal but structured — you feel as though she is speaking directly to you! Her feedback is helpful and encouraging, and she challenges you to make better work. Everyone in our class made leaps and bounds in both the quality of output and understanding of UX design principles.
