We ask, ‘what’s next?’

‘If you don't risk anything, you risk even more.’

— Erica Jong

It's those in-between days of late winter. Sunshine teases and the air is soft. I meet with friends for dinner on a Friday night.

We look through childhood photos, swap stories about our favourite red dresses, and share the lesson we learned that time we cried on an airplane.

We put our dreams into words and they float around the room, inflated with imagination. We talk about love, outline our must-haves, and count our maybes. We pour rounds of encouragement and leave advice in case of emergency.

On my journey to connect with my authenticity and expand my creativity, moments of shared vulnerability have been transformative.

There's something magical about being understood.
